About Ben Weber
Ben Weber is a 15-year Jamaica Plain resident, Boston Public Schools parent, and youth soccer coach. After two decades fighting for workers in the courtroom, he is running to represent District 6 on the Boston City Council.
Ben began his legal career 18 years ago providing free legal services for migrant farmworkers in the South. Ben has spent the last 11 years fighting for fair pay for workers through high-impact class action litigation with the nationally-renowned Boston law firm Lichten & Liss-Riordan, P.C., representing delivery drivers, nurses, Black and Latino Boston police officers, and firefighters. He also worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Mass. Attorney General’s Office under Martha Coakley, where he prosecuted employers for wage law violations and also argued over 30 Massachusetts Appeals Court cases on behalf of a wide range of state agencies.
Ben is running to promote polices that:
Promote the development of high-quality BPS schools for all our kids
Protect workers rights, ensure that workers receive a living wage, and grow the middle class
Increase housing affordability at every level
Expand youth sports and park facilities for all in the community
Vote for Ben and let’s get the City Council back to providing results for the community of District 6.
